How accurate is the water activity measurement?
Omix Plus uses the only internationally recognized method for precise water activity testing, known as the "Chilled Mirror Dew-Point Method." It works by cooling a mirror in a sealed chamber until condensation forms; the temperature at this point is the dew point, which corresponds to the sample's water activity. This is usually a slow process, but Omix Plus combines data from its sensors to predict the dew point, cool quickly, and slow down near the target. Omix Plus is accurate to ±0.005 Aw.
