Turn your morning espresso into a small, intense ritual. This handmade espresso cup from the Stanislavs Vilums x BloomVik collection is created for those who know that the greatest experiences are often found in the smallest details. It is not just a container for your coffee; it is a piece of tamed nature, shaped by masterful hands in the heart of Latvia.
Each cup is hand-thrown and born in the flames of a wood-fired kiln. Through a demanding reduction firing, where oxygen is removed from the kiln, the clay’s surface transforms into an iridescent black-silver finish. This is not a glaze, but the clay itself revealing its soul. The cup’s thick walls act as a thermal anchor, keeping your espresso warm and concentrating the aromas so every sip becomes a sensory experience.
"Small moments deserve great art. When you hold this cup, you feel the weight of history and a subtle scent of smoke and leather – proof of the open fire it was created from."
Why this espresso cup is unique:
The Man Behind the Fire: Stanislavs Vilums
Stanislavs Vilums (b. 1968) is a recognized master of Latvian folk craftsmanship. Since 1990, he has dedicated his life to mastering the rare reduction technique. His works are exhibited internationally, but their true purpose is to be used daily, reminding us of the connection between earth, fire, and our own senses.
