Espresso Kop i Unik Keramik – Håndlavet af Stanislavs Vilums - BloomVik

Latvian master craftsmanship meets Nordic minimalism.

Each cup in this collection is more than just a vessel; it is a piece of tamed nature. Created in the renowned Cukrasāta workshop in Latvia, these cups are hand-thrown, fired in reduction, and infused with natural olive oil. The result is a distinctive iridescent black-silver finish that lives and changes with the light.

When you hold a Vilums cup, you feel the history. A subtle scent of smoke – like freshly baked bread or fresh leather – reminds you of the open fire from which the cup was born. A scent that slowly softens and becomes part of your daily ritual.

Tailored to your moments

Stanislavs Vilums, born in 1968 in Rēzekne, Latvia, has dedicated his life to ceramics since 1990. As a recognized master of folk crafts (TDM, 2000) and a pioneer in reduction firing, he works exclusively with the potter's wheel, clay, and fire – without industrial methods.

His works have been exhibited in Latvia, Norway, Germany, Australia, and several other countries, and they carry deep roots in the Latgalian ceramic tradition.

Sugared: Tradition and fire in motion

In Latvia's tranquil landscape, Stanislavs Vilums shapes each cup in his Cukrasāta workshop.

The reduction firing – an ancient technique using a wood-fired kiln – creates the magical shades where the unpredictable fingers of fire weave a quiet story into the clay.

The result? Cups with soul: durable, food-safe, and perfect for everyday use (hand washing is recommended to preserve the authentic finish).
